도전은 상제님과 태모님의 말씀과 성적(聖蹟)을 집대성한 증산도의 경전(經典)입니다.

증산 상제님께서 천지공사를 보신 지 100여년 만에, 증산도 100년 도사의 총 결실(結實)로 집대성되었으며,

지금 이 세상은
지금 세상의 모든 것이 꽉 찼다. 이 세계의 참모습을 보는 성숙한 사람들은 이구동성으로 온 천하가 누렇게 익었다고 외친다. 춘하의 생장기가 종결되고 가을의 신천지 개벽의 문턱에 걸려 있는 것이다.

하늘과 땅 사이에는 신명과 인간이 가득 찼는데, 인간이 품고 있는 위대한 새 희망의 소식과 더불어 온갖 비극적 사건과 참상이 이 세상을 채움으로써 우리는 희비가 교차하는 거대한 변혁의 물결에 휩쓸려 가고 있다. ‘가을 천지의 대개벽’이란 진리의 명제로, 아직껏 한 번도 경험해 보지 못한 인류사적 대변혁이 인간 역사의 중심으로 몰려오고 있는 것이다.

우리가 살고 있는 천지는 원대한 꿈과 이상이 있다. 그것을 이루는 필연적인 과정이 앞으로 오는, 인간 농사짓는 우주일년에서 인류가 맞이해야 할 가을의 추살(秋殺) 개벽이다.

희망의 소식을 전하는 『道典』

일찍이 상제님께서 “내 법은 전무지후무지법(前無知後無知法)이니라. 판안 법으로는 알 수 없을 것이요 판밖의 나의 법이라야 알 수 있느니라.”고 하셨다. 이것이 상제님이 개벽하신 후천 오만년 지상선경 낙원에 대한 새 소식이다. 이 희망의 소식은 지구 저편이 아닌, 우리가 몸담고 있는 이 동방 땅에서 처음 선포되었다. 『道典』은 바로 인류의 모든 희망과 꿈이 담긴, 이 새 소식을 전하고 있는 것이다.

증산 상제님께서 열어 주신 궁극의 대도세계
상제님은 지금까지 풀리지 않았던 진리의 구성 틀(신도와 이법과 인사의 상호 관계)을 완전히 드러내 주셨다. 곧 진리란 무엇이며, 진정한 진리 체험과 인류의 새 세계 건설이 어떻게 가능한 것인가에 대해 궁극의 해답, 무극대도(無極大道)를 내려 주셨다.

그리하여 우리가 살고 있는 전변무상(轉變無常)한 현실 인간 역사와 대우주의 신비에 대해 진리의 눈을 활짝 뜰 수 있는 궁극의 깨달음을 열어 주셨다.

따라서 증산도는 지난 인류 문화를 문 닫고 인간의 새 역사를 여는 성숙한 진리라고 말할 수 있다. 우리는 당신님께서 이 땅에서 보여 주신 가을철의 새 문화, 새 역사를 여는 대개벽 공사를 통해, 동서고금 어느 누구도 감히 생각할 수조차 없는 너무도 파격적인 궁극의 대도 세계를 만나게 되었다.

상제님은 인간이 몸을 받아 태어난 지난날 선천 봄여름철의 천리(자연이법)를 억음존양의 상극 세상으로 규정하셨다.

“선천은 상극(相克)의 운(運)이라. 상극의 이치가 인간과 만물을 맡아 하늘과 땅에 전란(戰亂)이 그칠 새 없었나니 그리하여 천하를 원한으로 가득 채우므로 이제 이 상극의 운을 끝맺으려 하매 큰 화액(禍厄)이 함께 일어나서 인간 세상이 멸망당하게 되었느니라. 상극의 원한이 폭발하면 우주가 무너져 내리느니라.”(道典 2:17:1∼5)

상제님께서는 인간 역사가 개벽된 이래 가장 강렬한 소망을 품음과 동시에, 그 무엇으로도 극복하기 어려운 대위기의 벼랑 끝에 서 있는 인류에게 선천 문화와는 본질적으로 성격이 다른 새 법방으로 살길을 열어 주셨다.

今この世界は、

天と地の間には、神明と人間がいっぱいだが、人間が抱いている偉大な新しい希望の便りと一緒にいろいろな種類の悲劇的な事件と惨状がこの世を設定することにより、我々は悲喜が交差する巨大な変革の波に見舞われている。「秋の天地のデゲビョク」という真の命題であり、いまだに一度も経験したことのない、人類史的変革が人間の歴史の中心に集まっているのだ。

私たちが住んでいる天地は遠大な夢と理想がある。それを成す必然的な過程が前方に来て、人間農作業宇宙年で人類が迎える必要がある秋のチュサル（秋杀）開闢である。
